Who are your clients and what’s the top benefit they receive by working with SitusAMC?  

Our clients are tier-one real estate lenders in Europe. There’s a good mix of investment banks and debt funds, and they’re generally lending on large-ticket real estate transactions. Our role varies from client to client, but I’d divide it into three categories – we supply advice to our clients, we manage risk and we also provide reporting. Our goal is to be the most trusted debt advisor to our clients, providing market-leading expertise efficiently, reliably and responsively.   

Describe some of the key ways SitusAMC augments the internal capabilities of clients.  

We take a proactive approach to providing practical and valuable advice for our clients by integrating ourselves seamlessly into their platforms. Our approach varies from client to client but, across the board, we provide a tailored, flexible asset management service that enables clients to free up resource and focus on new business. We get into the detail of individual loan positions, but we also take a step back and analyze the risk of the portfolio as a whole and the exposure the institution or fund has to particular risks. We provide an independent, non-biased view, which only a highly skilled third-party team can deliver. 

What is most fulfilling about your job?   

My role currently has lots of fulfilling aspects, starting with our team. We have a market-leading team of highly skilled individuals and a friendly, pleasant working environment. I truly believe that's what keeps our staff excited to come in every day and work for us. We also have a best-in-class client base and we provide market-leading service in a market that’s constantly evolving and changing. Working with investment banks and private equity, you have to stay on your toes, be responsive to market shifts, and be willing to analyze and understand trends. It’s a dynamic environment, and that aspect of the job is what keeps me interested each day.
