What topics are currently top of mind for clients that SitusAMC is uniquely positioned to address?  

Reporting and keeping in compliance with loan agreements are important to our clients. There are a lot of regulatory changes within the environment and various challenges that come with this. Given our unique position in the market, in which we support multiple clients, we are best placed to support lenders by looking at their reporting and raising red flags before any major issues arise. Our goal is to stay one step ahead and provide timely reports using the tools we've built in-house. 

We're also seeing a lot of lenders evolving around the trends within the commercial real estate (CRE) market, including shifts in asset classes – especially in office spaces in the UK post-COVID. As we manage several clients, we are able to glean insights from the trends they’re noticing.  

How do you and your team personally deliver value for clients?  

We look at loan management based on what our clients request, but we also add value by looking at things they may not have thought of. Ultimately it is the client's decision, however we ensure we give them all the details required to make an informed choice. It’s always an accomplishment when you get positive feedback from a client for catching something they may have missed.  

I also personally try to respond to clients quickly and give their requests due diligence. Whether it be a valuation summary request or any other task, I find that a timely response really puts my clients at ease. That’s something I try to teach my junior colleagues as well. Whatever you do for the client, big or small, you should always give 100%.  

What excites you most about the evolution of the business?  

Our internship program. We’re tapping into talent from diverse backgrounds. We understand how important it is to have a team with different life experiences that can support the client base we have. I’m also excited to see that more women are interested in a career in real estate, which has traditionally been a male-dominated industry. Real estate is always evolving, so passing on the knowledge I've gained in my time in the industry and watching the junior colleagues thrive is incredibly motivating.
