A leading U.S. commercial mortgage lender specializing in Agency, CMBS and short-term balance sheet lending sought to enhance its lending platform and increase originations, without adding extensive resources to back-end credit tasks.

OUR APPROACH

The client engaged SitusAMC to provide underwriting and due diligence services as it grew debt originations across its conventional multifamily and small balance loan (SBL) platforms. Based on the success of the relationship, SitusAMC moved from a transactional back-office solution to a trusted advisor. The relationship expanded to include a full spectrum of activities related to new loan origination and post-closing needs, including loan sizing; QC review; audits of loans sold to the government-sponsored enterprises (GSEs); third-party appraisal review for senior housing; and handling retail and office loans for CMBS. SitusAMC’s nimble structure and streamlined process allow primary underwriters to quickly mobilize teams to respond to large assignments and complex portfolios.
